The estate’s most important reds ferment in oak vats with a tapered, truncated shape, using daily manual punchdowns and long macerations. The other reds, along with the whites and the rosé, follow their own dedicated paths – fermented in temperaturecontrolled steel and aged either in large barrels, tonneaux, or steel, depending on what each wine calls for.We are in the heart of Montecucco – a borderland where Sangiovese becomes both powerful and vertical. ColleMassari was among the first to believe in this land, helping to define the style and identity of the denomination.
Alongside the vine stands the olive tree: more than 16,000 trees, many of them centuries old, farmed organically and harvested by hand. The oil they yield is a distillation of landscape – fresh, elegant, rich in vegetal notes and Tuscan memory.
